Hello everyone! I’m from Sacramento and graduated from UC Berkeley holding a Rhetoric degree with a focus on Narrative & Image.
Irvin Rodriguez was born and raised in Southern California in the Santa Ana/Anaheim region. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science degree in Society and Environment and a minor in Chican@ Studies. He is extremely passionate about Environmental Justice, community-based youth development, and Queer People of Color issues. He has previous experience working with the Multicultural Community Center and the Chicana/Latino Student Development Office at the U.C. Berkeley campus where he helped brainstorm and develop cross-cultural engagement and solidarity initiatives. He hopes to learn from and contribute to the academic and social enrichment of youth as an Academic Mentor at Oakland High School’s Shop 55 Wellness Center. On his free time, Irvin loves playing guitar, singing, cooking, and exploring the beautiful scenery the Bay Area has to offer.
Joanna is proud to be from Oakland and is a Wildcat alumni herself. She is currently studying Public Health and Education at the University of California, Berkeley. In the future she hopes to work in under-served communities regarding healthcare accessibility for families and college accessibility for youth.
