I’ve worked with EBAYC for 4 years at Oakland High and at Dewey Continuation Academy. I’ve been working with the African American Male Achievement (AAMA) for 3 years. O really enjoy and love the Oakland High campus, staff, and students. I get energized when I think about the different ways I am able to help and positively impact the student body to a point the culture of the school changes to fully reach and support all students and provide their family with as many resources as possible to help the student be the positive progressive productive member of society that gives back to his or her community so others may know and learn the ways to reap the full benefits of a good education.
Program Assistant/ Intake Counselor
Eloisa was born and raised in San Diego, Califas; Received a BA from the University of California Berkeley in 2012 double majoring in Ethnic Studies and Chicano Studies and minoring in Education. She is passionate in working with youth, and loves Oakland High students. As Program Assistant with EBAYC’s After School Program she works with up to 200 students involved in Academic Support, Enrichment and Internship Programs. In her free time she enjoys exploring the outdoors, hiking, dancing, and finding cultural and community events. Her favorite weather is the rain.
Erika Garcia is from Oakland, California she grew up close to Oakland High and currently is in college at Cal State East Bay. She is currently majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor Sociology. She loves to work with youth in helping them with school help and also in advise about what to do in order to go to college.

Hi I’m Julia! I’m an alumni of Oakland High, Class of 1999; went to Cleveland Elem. and Edna Brewer Jr. High and still live in the house I grew up in in the neighborhood. I have a BA from the Univ. of CA, Santa Cruz and MA from the California College of Arts and Crafts. After school I began working at Oakland High as the Parent Support Coordinator from 2007-2009. I have been on the Wildcats Alumni Association Board of Directors for the past 6 years. I am the assistant coach of the Wildcat’s Badminton Team for the past 3 seasons. I began working for EBAYC in Oakland High’s Wellness Center as their FRESH Educator in 2011. A lot of my spare time is spent volunteering with anything OHS needs.

Wellness Center Operations Coordinator
Pearn Arias is a graduate of Boston Reed College in Napa Valley, Ca. She is a California Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA-C, 2009) and a National Certified and California Licensed Phlebotomist (CPT-1,2009). Pearn has worked for community organizations and non-profit youth development programs for over a decade. With her passion for community health, she plans to go into Nursing to provide Oakland youths with the medical care they deserve. She is currently with East Bay Asian Youth Center as the Oakland High School Wellness Center Operations Coordinator.

Rany Ath is a dedicated leader in her community. She was born and raised in Oakland, CA. She received her Bachelors of Art in Social Welfare and Ethnic Studies with a minor in Education at U.C. Wellness Center Director
Susan Yee was born and raised in Oakland, graduated from Oakland Tech, Wesleyan University (BA), Holy Names University (Teaching Credential) and San Francisco State University (MSW). She works as a substance abuse counselor and the Director of Health and Wellness Services at Shop 55 Wellness Center at Oakland High School. She’s got 2 kids and a husband, and the best team of people to work with, ever.
